Balabala advances expansion in 2023 with strategic locations in Cambodia and the UAE

Children’s fashion and lifestyle brand Balabala continues to expand its footprint in the Middle East and Southeast Asia with the opening of two new stores in early 2023. Founded in 2002, Balabala currently operates over 4,800 stores in China and 40+ stores internationally.  Launched with a mission to redefine luxury kids wear, Balabala aims to “become the first-choice children’s fashion brand” globally.
Following a successful launch in Dubai last year, in conjunction with local partner BTC Fashion, Balabala opened its second store in the United Arab Emirates in February. The 240-square-metre flagship store is a fitting addition to the ultimate shopping experience of Yas Mall, the UAE’s largest retail destination.
In another landmark opening, Balabala launched its second store in Cambodia in January at the latest Chip Mong development: 271 Mega Mall Phnom Penh, the largest shopping mall south of the city. The store carries apparel, shoes, and accessories including Balabala collections, designed for newborn children and up to 14 years of age.

“Located in the heart of the capital cities, both shopping malls are veritable landmarks and we are extremely pleased that our franchise partners have secured prominent locations for Balabala, helping cement our position as an aspirational global brand,” says Nicole Zhou, head of Balabala International.

“We are excited to serve our customers in these markets and provide them with valuable products. In addition, we will continue to provide personalised assistance to meet the needs of the local community we serve. We look forward to continuing our expansion efforts in the future, strengthening our store network and raising our brand awareness,” adds Zhou.
